This policy explains how the Orbix website and resident app handle information. Orbix is operated as the Orbix project. For privacy questions, contact kennethdolera56@gmail.com.
Information the app handles
- Account information: your email address and, if you provide one, your name. If you choose Google sign-in, Google and Supabase handle the authentication flow and the app receives the account details Supabase makes available.
- Resident submissions: information you enter for service applications, maintenance, facility bookings, water issues, incident reports, payment preferences, event RSVPs, or announcement read receipts. Depending on the form, this may include names, contact details, addresses, and request details.
- Household details: names, relationships, and optional contact numbers for household members you add.
- Optional report photos: if you attach a water-issue photo, the app uploads it to private Supabase storage. The app restricts these images to supported image formats and 5 MB.
- Website feedback: the optional feedback form saves entries in local browser storage on that device. The form does not send them to an Orbix server.
How information is used and stored
The app uses account information to sign you in and associate your requests with your account. Request and household details are sent to the Orbix Supabase project so the app can save and display them. Supabase also provides authentication, database, and private photo storage services. Access to resident records is subject to the project's database and storage access rules.
The app can display barangay, water-account, billing, announcement, and community-event information made available to it. Do not treat the app as an emergency service or as a substitute for confirming urgent or official information with the appropriate local authority.
Sharing and service providers
Google processes information when you choose Google sign-in. Supabase processes the information needed to provide authentication, database, and storage features. The public Orbix website is hosted as a static site; its hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver web pages. This policy does not claim a particular server location or retention period.
Retention and your choices
Website feedback stays in the browser storage of the device where it was entered until that storage is cleared or the browser removes it. App account, request, household, and photo records are stored in the connected Supabase project. Retention and deletion depend on that project's configuration and applicable operational requirements. Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account.
Children and sensitive information
The app is designed for residents managing community services. Do not add another person's information unless you are authorized to provide it. Use care with sensitive details and report photos.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website or app changes. The date at the top indicates the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you have had an opportunity to review the revised notice.
